Founded in 1787, this 150-hectare estate in the center Loire continues to be led by the Touchais family. Their vast cellars house a million bottles of rare, and relatively affordable, treasures. Only released after ten years in bottle, these dessert wines are among the finest Chenin Blancs of the Loire Valley. The vines are rarely affected by botrytis, and 20% of the crop is harvested early to ensure the acidity that balances the 80% late-harvest grapes. The style is balanced and restrained: true to the vintage, but focused on expressing terroir rather than power or concentration.
