The only Barbaresco produced entirely from nebbiolo rose, which is genetically dissimilar, though related to the nebbiolo we all know and love. It's aroma is recognizably distinct, though emphatically nebbiolo and Piemonte. Cascina Baricchi farms with organic principles, intervening chemically only in situations of extreme distress. They only bottle Riserva, in this case letting the wine rest in oak barrels for 4 years before bottling. This is utterly unique Barbaresco and one of the true hidden gems of Italy.
