Appellation: Chianti Classico
Vineyard: The property is located just outside the medieval town of Radda in Chianti between Siena and Florence, and covers an area of approximately 100 ha and is comprised of wooded hills, small rivers, and fertile plains. There are approximately 20 ha of mainly Sangiovese vineyards and more than 10 ha of olive trees.
Vinification: Following the manual harvest, the grapes are crushed by foot with 10% whole bunches. Fermented in stainless steel, cement and open bins, with maceration lasting between 40 and 60 days. Aged for 18 months in stainless steel and cement. Organic and biodynamic principles are implemented in the vineyard. Nothing is added to the wines.
Tasting Notes: The palate is racy and vibrant. Firm, savory tannins and crisp acidity provide the backdrop for juicy flavors of black raspberry fruit.
