Varietal: Bonarda Piemontese (85%), Barbera (15%)
Vineyard: Finca Maggio, a 3 acre vineyard on alluvial soil at 4,920 asl, and planted in 1950.
Vinification: Following the manual harvest and native yeast ferment, the grapes were foot-trodden and macerated whole-cluster for 60 days. The wine spent 8 months on its lees in concrete egg. It is unfined/unfiltered.
Tasting Notes: The palate is rich with red fruits and strong tannins that lead to a full bodied finish.
