Owing to the extraordinary, alpine terroir and the vivid influence of the limestone soil, the wines at RHV are always defined by a leaner, more crackling presence. With the Grenache, the team takes a special approach in the winery to amplify delicacy. The fruit is not only de-stemmed (an uncommon choice at FH) but the fermentation is managed with great care taken to avoid extraction. Instead of traditional punch downs or pump overs, they’re using an actual garden-worthy watering can to delicately pour wine over the skins to keep them wet. Light in color, vibrant and special.
