VARIETAL: A field blend of more than 25 varieties, including Rufete, Tinta Barroca, Touriga Franca, Mourisco, Tinta Roriz, Gouveio, Rabigato, Donzelinho Branco, Malvasia Fina and Viosinho, among others, grown in granite and schist soils at 600 meters of altitude.
VINEYARD: The 80+ year-old vines are harvested from vineyards located in the sub-region of Cima-Corgo (Alijó) at an average altitude of 600 meters, growing in schist and granite-derived soils.
VINIFICATION: Ancestral method, sparkling wine made from only one fermentation, without added yeasts or sugar. Grapes picked in the beginning of September. Short maceration of 4 days and pressed. Bottled in October of 2020 without disgorging. No added sulfites.
TASTING NOTES: Bright and light red color. Very delicate bubbles. Intense nose, full of fruit and herbal notes, and a slight toasty note. Light and refreshing.
