A year ago today, Streetcar opened its doors. The first year has been a complete blur. We’re still getting used to the idea that the shop is even open. That said, it would be difficult to imagine the first year going any better than it has. The reason for this is simple: JAMAICA PLAIN.
The generous welcome we have received, both as a business and as people working in Jamaica Plain, has been overwhelming. It has been intensely gratifying getting to know our neighbors and customers. We’ve met new babies, we’ve been introduced to relatives from out of town, we’ve been invited to parties and barbecues, and we’ve made lots of new friends. For all this, and for making the first year an undeniable success —
There are many people, businesses, and organizations inside and outside of JP that have supported Streetcar in countless, special ways. I will forget to mention several, but here’s a start:
Alexandra, Meg Tallon, Yvan & Donna, William & Barbara, David & Karen, Greg, Jason, Sarah & Elie, Tres Gatos, VeeVee, Canary Square, Room68, Aviary, Ula, Oscar Hernandez, Kingsboro Park, Bonnie, Steve Schran, Dan Shea, Strunk, Daniel Rat, Michael Reiskinnd, Randace, Major Stars, Egyptian Lover, Hassan & Jaenna, Genuine Wine Selections, Jeff Slavin, Oz Wine Co., Terry Theise, Derek, Brent & Rosa, Lance & Alexis, Graham & Paige, Moises Fernandez-Via, Sadat X
We look forward to many more years of serving Jamaica Plain.
