2024 Giato Centopassi "Radioaut"

Centopassi is the wine-growing soul of Libera Terra cooperatives that cultivate typical Sicilian varieties on confiscated mafia land. The name of the project ties inspiration from the story of Peppino Impastato, a young Sicilian murdered by the mafia for his unceasing communication activity against the ciminal organization. Radio Aut was the free radio that Peppino had founged in Cinisi. In its programs, mafiosi and accomplice politicians were mocked, spreading a message of justice, freedom, and courage. A message that instead, will never die. Giato is the result of grapes coming from vineyards located in the central Sicilian highlands and tells the story of the territory through its most typical native varieties.
