American négociant / importer / trailblazer Mary Taylor continues to rock the country with her expansive portfolio of European regional wines. The next to land at streetcar is a rosé from IGP Agenais, which was established in 2011 to capture the typicity of the wines from the Lot-et-Garonne area of Southwest France. This rosé from winemaker Christophe Avi in Buzet, is made from his sustainably farmed younger cabernet franc and cabernet sauvignon vines. It offers nuanced notes of minerally orange blossom, wet stone, and lime leaf, with a bit more grip than you'd expect for a rosé. Serve with grilled vegetables marinated in herbed, garlicky olive oil.
