2023 Vinca Minor Rosé

Field blend of zinfandel and carignan from the certified organic Hawkeye Ranch vineyard originally planted in the early 1900's. The vineyard sits at 722 feet elevation and is located in the upper reaches of the Russian River drainage in Mendocino county. The soil type is pinole gravelly loam, which provides excellent drainage and promotes low vigor. Warm daytime temperatures and cool evenings results in a large diurnal temperature shift - often of 50 degrees - providing excellent fruit maturation while maintaining balance. Besides being organically-certified, the vineyard is fish friendly farming certified.
