2023 Melovivo Grillo Sicilia

Tenuta Bonincontro is a family owned and operated winery located in the Ragusa province of southern Sicily. Their certified organic vineyards are dedicated to native grapes like nero d’avola, frappato, and also the variety used in this particular wine, grillo. Expect some grapefruit citrus flavors, a few floral notes, and some bitter nuttiness. No oak is used here whatsoever, so this one is refreshing and clean. A great seafood wine that will also pair well with lighter vegetarian fare, this is a fine companion to have lying around for these last warm nights as Autumn closes in.
