2023 Ultraviolet California Zinfandel

Napa based winemaker Samantha Sheehan has made a name for herself with three different brands, all of which we carried off and on here at Streetcar over the years. Her Poe label focuses on sparkling wines and Burgundian inspired offerings, her Mommenpop label is her aperitif line which emphasizes the use of fresh, organic, local citrus, and her Ultraviolet label focuses on value wines that are distinctly Californian. We’ve sold many cases of Ultraviolet cabernet, but this zinfandel is brand new to the store. This biodynamically farmed and certified organic wine comes from the Mattern Vineyard in Mendocino, which was planted in the 1930s. Big fruit, some jamminess, nothing out of balance though. Sure to be a hit at your Memorial Day backyard barbecue. Are we invited?
