2017 Clos Saron "Stone Soup"

Gideon and his team farmed this field blend of syrah & viognier on a steep, rocky, 2 acre vineyard about 1 mile up from their home in Oregon House, California. Brutally hot, despite of its elevation of 1900 feet, the vines struggle to produce in this unique decomposed volcanic red clay, with extremely low yields resulting in just 97 cases produced. 2018 was the 10th and penultimate vintage of this wine, as the vineyard has been sold.
