2018 Kairos "Plano" Zinfandel

Kairos Vina is a family-owned, organic winery established in 2007 near Trogir, Croatia, focusing on producing high-quality wines from Dalmatian limestone slopes. Inspired by the discovery of Crljenak Kaštelanski (the original Zinfandel) in the region, the winery focuses on organic, dry-farming & indigenous farming. Located in the Plano community above Trogir, the vineyards cover 13 hectares (32 acres) of rocky, steep terrain. The site overlooks the Adriatic Coast, providing a unique Mediterranean climate with significant sun and wind exposure, which results in low-yield, high-quality grapes. 24 months in a mix of new and old Croatian/French oak barriques, followed by 1 year in stainless steel, and 6 months of bottle aging.
