2021 Gesellmann "zb"

"In harmony with nature, we want to create wines rich in character and typical of the region every year." This guiding principle has guided Albert Gesellmann for years. The conversion was completed with the 2015 vintage and the first certified organic wines went on sale. The focus here is on Burgenland's indigenous red varieties, zweigelt and blaufränkisch, showcased here in a fresh, vibrant style that is easy to love. "zb" is the German equivalent of "i.e.", meaning, for example, which is perfect, as this juicy red is exemplary of Gesellmann's style and makes a great point of entry into Austria's red wine heartland. March is baerlauchsuppe season, so go find some wild garlic and welcome the spring!
