2021 Pantun Puglia

From their Vito Vineyard, these Primitivo grapes are grown in clay and limestone soil from Apulian Bush trained vines. The late August harvest is manual, a spontaneous fermentation occurs in stainless sell, followed by one year of aging in old oak barriques and five months rest in bottle.

Pantun Rosso is a dark ruby in the glass. The nose is complex and of black and red fruit, bramble, spice and smoked meat and leather. On the palate the wine is balanced: full-bodied, there are well-defined tannins, adequate acidity, intensely concentrated flavors that follow from the bouquet, and a lengthy finish. A wine to enjoy with an aromatic cheese course, barbecue grilled foods, or curry-flavored dishes. - La Rosa Selections
