2022 Hauller Alsace Pinot Blanc "Les Premices"

The Hauller family lineage in Alsace dates back to 1776 when master cooper François-Joseph Hauller established his first workshop. It would be another 200 years before the family expanded beyond barrel-making into viticulture and winemaking. Today, it’s their core business, with Louis Haller and his son Claude (along with his sons Guillaume & Ludovic) overseeing 20 hectares of vineyards across Alsace, including 3 Grand Cru sites. “Les Premices” is their line of organic wines, from which we’ve selected this very pleasant pinot blanc. There are peach, apple and floral notes to be found here with a soft texture and medium acidity. Pinot blanc is a versatile food wine which can easily accompany apps or main dishes. Fish, white meat, eggs and of course, soft cheeses will all work well. If you’re invited to a holiday party and don’t know what kind of white wine to bring, just grab this and enjoy!
