Portola Hills Vineyard, perched at 850 feet in the northern end of the Santa Cruz Mountains appellation, contributes with Dijon selections 115, 828, and Pommard clones grown in sandstone clay soils. Completing the blend is organically-farmed Rochioli clone fruit from Fogarty's estate Will’s Cabin Vineyard, declassified from their top single-vineyard program, which is a warmer site providing mountain intensity and refined structure derived from fractured sandstone soils. together, these vineyards craft a wine reflective of its mountain origins. Natural fermentation. Aged for 15 months in 20% new French oak. Unfined, lightly filtered. Racked once.
