2024 Kurt Angerer "Kies" Kamptal Gruner Veltiner

Kurt Angerer has been a quiet standard bearer for Langenlois, in the west of the Kamptal region of Austria, for over a a generation. His values are evident in the wines he produces: he believes in his terroir, bottling wines by soil structure (Kies means gravel) to illuminate the inherent dramatic contrasts the various vineyards provide. At every level, his wines are unbridled in their exuberant fruit, a clear message of the quality of farming at this historic estate. This version of gruner is downright tropical, with notes of melon and papaya. Above all, the Angerer wines are delicious.
