2024 Ruth Lewandowski "Abandoned Meander"

Hey look, another freaking awesome red wine that tastes like a freaking awesome red wine! While Cole Ranch’s particular terroir has certainly garnered a ton of fanfare for the Riesling, there’s a little Merlot planted there as well. Planted right across the main vineyard lane from the Riesling is a block of Merlot and Evan decided to take a crack at it. The story here is all about how Merlot, if grown in the right spot, picked at the right time and treated gently can produce a wine of astounding texture and aromatics.
