2025 Hofgut Falkenstein Krettnacher Euchariusberg Riesling Auslese (Förster) AP5

The 2025er Krettnacher Euchariusberg Riesling Auslese Förster (the reference to this internal cask name is provided in small print on the label after the AP number) is a sweet wine made from clean fruit harvested from vines planted in the 1960s in the prime Gross Schock sector of the vineyard. This offers a rather backward nose made of lime, herbs, and smoke. The wine is quite electric and zesty on the palate, but quickly juicy elements of apricot, mango, grapefruit, pineapple, and smoke join the party. It offers a beautiful feel of subtly fresh exotic fruits on the palate and reveals itself with a lightness which is almost reminiscent of a Spätlese. This is a gorgeous and fresh expression of Auslese in the making. 2035-2065
