2025 Hofgut Falkenstein Niedermenniger Sonnenberg Riesling Kabinett trocken (Munny) AP9

The 2025er Niedermenniger Sonnenberg Riesling Kabinett Trocken Munny (the reference to this internal cask name is provided in small print on the label after the AP number) comes from fruit picked early on 60-70-year-old vines in the Lieux-Dit Unter den Röderchen. It proves still a bit backward and needs some time to reveal its nose of grapefruit, mint, chalk, ginger, oregano, and smoke. The wine is nicely delineated and focused on the palate and leaves a precise and still somewhat backward feel at this early stage. The potential is however impressive. 2028-2040
