2025 Jolie Laide Pinot Gris "Queen Of Swords"

Our 2025 Pinot Gris is sourced from a single, organically farmed vineyard rooted in alluvial clay loam soils in the Suisun Valley, just southeast of Napa. To highlight the variety’s expressive potential and natural acidity, the grapes were harvested early and foot-stomped for a two-day whole-cluster cold soak, enhancing phenolic texture while lending a delicate tannin and playful pink hue. The iridescent juice was then gently transferred to a combination of neutral puncheon and stainless steel for a slow, cold native yeast fermentation. Following fermentation, the wine rested in neutral puncheons and barrique for six months of élevage to preserve freshness and aromatics.

The resulting wine is graceful and light-bodied, balancing refined texture with bright acidity. Aromas of fresh strawberry, white tea, and calla lily lead into a palate of peach, honeydew, and Rangpur lime, finishing with a subtle, quinine-like grip from skin contact.
