Some collaborations take years to finally happen.
Introducing The World at Large, a beer brewed with our good friends at Bissell Brothers.
They invited us to our first ever brewfest in Maine, back when we weren’t really getting invited to much of anything. Since then we’ve crossed paths for years on the festival circuit, running into each other in cities all over the country and beyond. And they’ve been a staple at our own Funk on the Water since its inaugural year.
Last year at Log Jam, Dan and Noah finally caught up and decided it was time to make this collaboration happen. Something we’d talked about for nearly a decade, but never quite managed to get on the calendar.
So here it is. The World at Large is an 8% Double IPA brewed with Maine’s own Blue Ox Malthouse Yankee Pils alongside Vermont-grown flaked oats and wheat from NEK Grains. Dry-hopped in two rounds with Citra, Nelson, Dolcita, and Peacharine from Freestyle Hops.
The can features artwork by Maine native and Burlington local Jackson Tupper.
Tasting Notes: Rich Stone Fruit, Tropical, Citrus, Lemon-Lime Zest, Candied Fruit.
