Torchietti is originally from the Campania region in Italy.  The name Torchietti means little torches in Italian. It is so good and so versatile. Pair it with tomato sauce, Roman alla Gricia (basically a pasta dish with cheese, pepper, and guanciale or pancetta), meat or fish. Chicken, broccoli, and pesto is a favorite.  Our pasta is made with durum semolina wheat grown in the USA, which contains gluten, and is non-GMO.

Amolitta Pasta is a small company in Scarborough, Maine making Italian style semolina dried pasta. We launched our business in the summer of 2019, and are doing well with our pasta stocked in many fine food markets in Maine, and a growing number throughout New England. We make our pasta with equipment that we imported from Italy, and work with an Italian pasta master with decades of experience to help perfect our recipes, and techniques.  Our pasta is made with USA grown durum wheat semolina.  It is extruded through bronze dies which imparts a rough texture that clings best to the sauce for better taste.  It is dried at lower temperatures over a longer period of time for better flavor, and true firm to the bite "al dente" quality that is so much more satisfying to eat.  Our packaging is environment friendly made from 100% recycled kraft paper outer layer, and lined with a plant based compostable film inner layer.
