VARIETAL: Tinta Barroca
VINEYARD: Sourced from a north-facing parcel in Meda with an altitude of 600 (2000 feet asl) meters. The soil is a combination of schist and granite.
VINIFICATION: The wine is cold fermented in cement tanks with indigenous yeasts; aging in cement, too. giving primacy to the berry fruits and acidity.
This wine is suitable for vegans and vegetarians.
TASTING NOTES: The tannins suggest it could age, although it is very drinkable now as primacy is given to berry fruits such as cherry and raspberry, with a hint of spice. A friendly, inviting wine with the warmth of the sun on cool granite. Its berry flavors are vinous, rather than overtly sweet. It tastes open, juicy and fresh, with a simplicity that’s delicious. Compellingly drinkable.
