Lara Rocchetti & Luisa Sala (La & Lu = Lalú) met while studying at the renowned University of Pollenzo. After working harvest together at Trediberri, they purchased their first vineyard in 2015 in the Roncaglie cru of La Morra. Their mutual interest in creating a carbon-neutral winery, with experience in stages in Barolo at Reva and Conterno-Fantino and in Burgundy at Domaine Lafon and with Cécile Tremblay, have led to a striking moment of creation that has caught the international attention. We hope all the hype isn't coming too soon, as there isn't much wine to go around. We were lucky to get one of the few cases of this Langhe Nebbiolo to hit our shores, and the 2022 promises to be nearly as scant. A word on this wine, which hails in part from their first vineyard and in second part from the Bussia Bovi cru of Monforte.
