Matthew Hinçman surreptitiously installed a park bench with two backs along the path around Jamaica Pond in 2006. After its removal and subsequent re-installation with city approval later that year, it quickly became a city-wide curiosity, and now acts as a quirky emblem of Jamaica Plain.
